MEET DR. RONALD HIRTH

Dr. Hirth is a Cincinnati native, born and raised on the West Side. He attended Walnut Hills High School, where he was inducted as a member of the Cum Laude Society. While attaining a B.S. in Biology from the University of Cincinnati, he worked in the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital. In 2001, he moved to Dayton, OH where he attended Wright State University School of Medicine and completed his M.D. In May 2005, the same month he graduated, he married his wife Becky (Kessler). After graduation they moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where he completed his internship and residency in OB-GYN at Bayfront Medical Center and she obtained her license in Massage Therapy.

Dr. Hirth was initially drawn to OB-GYN by his respect and awe for the gestation and birth process. Soon after, he realized how much he enjoyed surgery and taking care of other aspects of women's health. His special interests include: robotic assisted surgery, laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery, infertility, high risk obstetrics and prenatal diagnosis.

In his spare time, Dr. Hirth enjoys spending time with his family including his dog Sophie, playing the Wii, cooking, and traveling. He has been to Costa Rica recently were he visited the capital San Jose, the volcano Arenal and the Rain Forest in Manuel Antonio. He also has traveled to several places in the Carribean, and as a teenager, visited Italy.
